Farage Favourite To Win 2nd Party Leader TV Debate

Bookmakers William Hill have installed UKIP's Nigel Farage as their 5/4 favourite to win Thursday''s tv debate, with Labour leader Ed Miliband 2/1 second favourite; the SNP's Nicola Sturgeon 11/4; Leanne Wood of Plaid Cymru at 16/1, and the Greens' Natalie Bennett the 20/1 outsider.
'The 7 Party Leader Debate created a great deal of betting interest. We saw a five figure betting turnover, and paid out on Ed Miliband at 5/1 as the slightly unexpected winner' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, 'We feel Mr Miliband may face a tougher task to win with four smaller Parties possibly ganging up against him this time, and only make him second favourite, with Nigel Farage clear favourite in our betting.'
Hills will pay out according to the result of the Survation poll being carried out on the Debate.
The good news for Mr Miliband is that for the first time Hills have him as 10/11 joint favourite (along with David Cameron) in their market on who will become Prime Minister as a result of the General Election - the bad is that Hills offer 4/7 that he will no longer be Labour leader on Jan 1, 2016 - 5/4 that he is.
