UNDECIDED ARE DECIDED IN FIRST VOTEYOURGOAT MONTHLY GENERAL ELECTION! Politicians are left stunned this morning, with the amount of votes cast as - undecided in the first voteyourgoat monthly general election. 14% of the overall voter's said they couldn't choose a party, which leaves politicians in a difficult position. In the coming days many questions will be asked about why this in the case - does the public not have any confidence in party politics? Or is it a case of, as was recently suggested in multiple goats, that the public just don't know what each party stands for anymore? The day was a success for the Conservatives, who claimed the first voteyourgoat monthly general election with a resounding turnout of support for the party. A great day for David Cameron and his party who secured over 29% of the vote, saw Labour trailing in third (12%) and the Liberal Democrats in fifth (10%). Although there was a poor turnout in Scotland and Wales, it was a great day for Alex Salmond and the SNP and George Galloway and the Respect party, who secured uncontested victories in each country. Following the rise in support for UKIP at the last local election, Nigel Farage and his party remain in 6th place with 8% of the vote. A positive turnout in Northern Ireland saw a resounding victory for the Alliance party and the end to a disappointing campaign for Sinn Fein and the Ulster Unionists who received no votes. The hard work now starts again for these parties, as we're here on the last Thursday of next month to do it all over again!
